Kerry ‘04
I know I don’t get a lot of traffic through here like I used to, and I’m not big on political rhetoric, but I feel that the country needs to be saved and I should say the following just in case it could cause somebody to re-think (or prompt them to think) their decision on election day:
George W. Bush…. has got to be the worst president in the history of the United States of America. I cannot understand how one can logically vote for him in this election. I admit it, I voted for him in 2000, Gore didn’t seem much smarter/better, I wasn’t a fan of Clinton, and I had no idea that Bush was so fucking dumb, I’m so sorry and embarassed. If I could go back in time I would of course (as I believe most people) change my vote. I’m not a Democrat, and I’d like you to consider the following:
- Bush is dishonest. He rushed to war with Iraq under the cover of being part of the “war on terrorism” when Iraq had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks of September 11th. There were no weapons of mass destruction there. Most people were telling Bush this, but he wanted to invade Iraq so badly that the day after 9/11 he told his adminstration to dig up any dirt they could possibly find on Iraq, while being reminded by them that Iraq had nothing to do with it.
I was opposed to this war from the start, where was this coming from? Even when it was thought that they had weapons of mass destruction my thinking was: If you know Iraq has weapons of mass destruction but don’t invade, you *might* get attacked by them someday *maybe* (likely wouldn’t even happen). But if you do go into Iraq you are going to piss off a lot of people and create many more terrorists and a huge anti-US sentiment (done), spend billions of dollars (done and counting), and lose many, many lives (done and counting). The costs far outweigh the benefits.
And now it turns out there were no weapons of mass destruction, Hussein bluffed, bad/manipulated intelligence, well over a thousand Americans dead (1/3rd the amount that died due to the 9/11 attacks), thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians dead, everybody hates us, more terrorists are being breeded with even more reasons to hate America, and the United States is being bankrupted. Hussein is gone, that is good, Iraq is in shambles and might recover. In the long run, this war has been potentially good for the future of the Iraqi people (to be seen), and absolutely terrible for the United States.
- George Bush reeks of corporate corruption. How come virtually his entire administration is made up of former CEOs? We all know that CEOs look out for the interests of the people, not the corporations - YEAH RIGHT! Halliburton, etc - ridiculous. Most of the highjackers of 9/11 were Saudis, yet there’s no crackdown towards Saudi Arabia in this “war on terror” because the Bush family is in bed with the Saudi Arabians. Additionally, with his idiotic means of presentation and communication, he seems like he is a puppet being run and told what to do by other interests in his administration.
- He is bankrupting the country. How many people do you know that have lost their jobs during his presidency? I can probably count at least 30 people I know that have lost their jobs. Before his presidency? I probably couldn’t even count the people on one hand - I’m talking nation-wide, and close friends and family. The economy is not controlled by the president, but he is doing absolutely nothing to help us out. He is only making it worse by doing things like endorsing companies to send jobs overseas - real fucking nice. THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!! Billions of dollars that could be spent on making America better are being spent on making Iraq better, what the fuck.
- I don’t know about you, but my health insurance plan has gone up 100% in price. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT in THREE YEARS. And I’m talking about some crappy-ass health insurance. It’s gotten so expensive that I’ve had to downgrade my health insurance plan to an even crappier one just to be able to afford it. This is ridiculous, these billionaire health insurance companies are out of control. The Bush Administration is only helping them. There is no reason it should cost this much. This industry is corrupt and there need to be some regulations, caps, limits, (ethical police really) for the health insurance industry. And aren’t you tired of every other commercial on tv being for a prescription drug???
- George Bush ignores information handed to him weeks before 9/11 that says Osama bin Laden is determined to attack within the United States using airplanes. Not terribly long after September 11th Bush says he “isn’t really concerned” about Osama bin Laden and capturing him.
- Why did Bush knock down the towers?
- He is ruining the country.
Fuck you George W. Bush, FUCK YOU.
You are not going to vote for George Bush, you are going to do the right thing and vote for John Kerry, who has some great plans for our country. I don’t want to hear any garbage about you not knowing how he is going to do what he plans to, or that you are still not sure about his plans & ideas, he only wrote a book explaining all his plans and ideas, and has an informative website. Where is Bush’s book of plans and ideas for the next four years? It doesn’t exist just like it didn’t exist in 2000. John Kerry also wrote a book in 1997 entitled “The New War”, basically about the fact that the nation is going to have to seriously deal with terrorism in the future. Doesn’t this seem like somebody who has a good head on their shoulders? He fought in the military in Vietnam, did not hide from duty like George W, was not a drunk and druggie like George W., his daughters aren’t idiots, how obvious of a choice is this? Kerry cares about people, not corporations. He is going to try to really change things for the better in our country in the years to come. George Bush has no real new plans for us, you’re just going to get more of the same bullshit that you have been experiencing and seeing on the television day after day after day. This is so obvious who to vote for.
