I went to Nevada this past weekend to do some work for the Obama campaign, trying to make Nevada blue! I worked the Vegas suburbs and it was a great experience. The Obama campaign doesn’t want us to blog about the operation on the ground until after the election, but I will say that it’s looking pretty good, and with only the slightest bit of hesitation I’ll say that I think we have that state.

Hahaha, saw this over at digg, and it was just too funny not to repost. It’s amazing all the hilarious ways other countries rip off some of our super heroes, cartoons, etc. How about Batman gunning people down? Bollywood Superman dancing his way to defeat his enemies? Chinese live-action Popeye? These are hilarious. Check out the 9 Foreign Rip-Offs Cooler Than The Hollywood Originals.

This is actually a positive post! Hehe. Now OF COURSE conservatives and rednecks are not hand-in-hand, and many of them may well not like the other, but hell, I’m lumping two posts into one because… rednecks more than not tend to vote republican, and that is very much the stereotype (though that highly depends on which state it is), and of course conservatives almost always do… but maybe not this year!?
Exhibit 1: This picture that just makes me feel good and warm all over:
This is from Rednecks4Obama.com, who’s guestbook feels so good to read.
Exhibit 2: Conservatives for Change, can ya feel me!!

In a discussion regarding variations of the America Southern accent with Sam, I found this website which quizzes you and tells what American accent you have. I don’t know how I got “Western”. I don’t think I changed the way I say anything since I moved from the east? How in the world can “stock” and “stalk” sound different??
Shout out to STL (Strizzle the Linguist), who will rejoice at question #14, and also enjoy question #16.
| Which American accent do you have?Western
Western is kind of neutral, but not quite since it’s still possible to tell where you`re from. So you might not actually be from the West (but you probably are). If you really want to sound “neutral,” learn how to say “stock” and “stalk” differently. |

Looks like they’ll be doing Nintendo DS commercials in the UK, which is pretty appropriate since I believe I remember my girlf telling me that Sarah has commented in the past about her DS-playing. Also, nice to know that Billy Corgan is a fan, don’t know about that “better than the Beatles” comment though.
Looks like Coldplay has dabbled a bit too.

That stands for “Heavy White Female”. What can I say, it’s just this pattern I keep seeing. I don’t know if this one drives a white car, but if I had to put money on it, I would bet so.

The Washington Nationals have gone far higher up on my list of baseball teams I like. I just found out that they have President’s Races at the games, where mascot presidents race each other. The funny part is that it seems like Teddy Roosevelt is always in the lead at first but always somehow ends up losing! >:/ (He’s my favorite President for those of you who don’t know) Hahah, check out the Race Standings. They even had this campaign to let him win, with Teddy Roosevelt ‘08 signs! I LOVE IT!! I also love how their numbers are the number President that they were.
and a couple more vids below the fold…

It’s so funny to me to hear the right accusing ACORN of trying to commit voter fraud when they’ve stolen the past two elections. Here we go with this bullshit again. It’s so sad, the whole system is retarded.

One of my favorite live performances comes from the twilight days of the original Metallica. I YouTube’d For Whom the Bell Tolls from Woodstock ‘94, because all the other ones on YouTube are not in sync or are incomplete.
