Damn, lately I’ve totally been in the old computer nerd mode, what with the terrabyte drive drama and exploring Mac OS X.  So, expect the coming blog posts to reflect that.

Was reading Google News and came across that headline, clicked it, and was like “Boy, they weren’t kidding!”

Nice way to react to your government throwing you out of your apartment by the way, by setting other people’s stuff on fire and trashing their homes.

Jim Martin had his ass handed to him by Saxby Chambliss in the Georgia Senate runoff election last night (57-43).  That puts an end to the possibility of a filibuster-proof Democratic Senate, regardless of what happens in the Coleman/Franken race.  I predicted prior to Nov. 4th that we’d come up one short, so if Franken wins, I’ll be spot on!  Though it’s not looking especially good for him at this point either.

Oh well, good job anyway.  There’s always 2010, which has potential for even more Dem pickups in the Senate.  19 republican seats are up for re-election that year vs. 15 democratic ones.

I’ve got this USB thermometer at work.  My friend Phong came over and was messing with it, decided to hold it in his closed hand for a while.  Then I decided to do the same thing.  Check out the graph below.  You can see that the ones in between when I hold it are the room temperature.

I was then talking with Phong about our hand temperature differences and my discontent with my cold hands, but he said that he thinks it’s good for a guy to have cold hands because it’s good for making sushi, lol.
