Man, this recession/economic crisis is a real party pooper.  It’s really bad out there.  It’s really bad when you see multiple people seriously affected by it in one day.  What a difference a year makes - this time, not in the good sense.

It was ten years ago on this day that I started life in California.  As I’ve known that this anniversary was coming, I was thinking back over these ten years for the past couple days, remembering everything that’s happened and also asking myself the question of what I would have done differently… and I couldn’t really think of anything.  I mean, there are always minor things, and perhaps I would not do the OC life part 1 again, but there are no real major changes I would make.  All-in-all, it’s been a great time and I’m really happy with how it all turned out.

It’s election day yet again!  For all you Angelinos, please vote yes on Proposition B - let’s get 400MW of solar energy going!

It’s pathetic, we live in Southern California and have the greatest source of energy known to man shining in our faces all day every day, and instead we burn fossil fucking fuels!?  If I was the lord I’d be so offended.  Private industry has managed to produce 14 megawatts of solar in the last 10 years.  Let’s create this 400 megawatts in 5 years.  Put solar panels on roofs of all of our downtown buildings and other rooftops, let’s show America what’s up.  LADWP FTW!!!

I used to think plastic was like one of the coolest things ever when I was a teenager.  Now I find myself really not liking it.  Reasons:

1. The environmental hazard of it.  It’s half-life is like 20,000 years or something.
2. The human hazard of it.  Recently they’ve been finding that a lot of plastic bottles leak bullshit into your drinks.  A lot of bottle makers are even like “don’t be re-using this bottle oooohhh!”
3. The cheapness of it.  It’s just like, a cheap fucking replacement for solid dope shit.  I know there are a lot of places where it’s beneficial to use it, but you know what I’m talking about.  Plastic cookware and shit like that, I don’t like that.
4. Riding off #3, it just like represents to me a crapping down of society.  Like we used to make shit that lasted, now we’ve got this designed for obsolete 90% plastic bullshit that is only respectable enough to piss on.
5. It’s made out of fucking OIL, dogg.
6. It’s not real enough.  Like, it’s made out of such a chemical process.  It’s too fake.  I like the real motherfuckin glass, motherfuckin metal SHIT!
