I was in Chicago for the 4th of July and had the pleasure of going to my first Cubs game. Needless to say, and especially being a history buff, I was in love with Wrigley Field before even going. The stadium met all expectations and is really a great place. Perhaps the thing I loved the most was the adorable scoreboard. I just love how it’s done by hand. Between innings you see somebody peer out of one of the empty letter holes, and then the score gets changed slowly. There’s just something so great about it. Not only that, but they have live scores of all the other games going on up there, also done in the same manner!
Of course my eyes lit up when I found this behind the scenes video of it on YouTube!! It doesn’t tour the whole thing, but it does reveal quite a bit of info. They talk about Fukudome in the middle, but they go back to the scoreboard after that:

There’s a huge tiger in the United States! Do you see it?
If you didn’t find it, I’ve highlighted it below the fold.

Well I finally got around to sorting/de-red-eyeing/tagging up our pics from when we went on our great road trip to the Northwest, all the way up into Canada, and back down through the mountain states. Check out the pics on flickr. They be geotagged and captioned. Or go straight to the slideshow! <– I just now really played around with the slideshow feature, how cool is flickr!?
There’s a few pics in there that I think are pretty cool from an artistic standpoint, here are my favorites from that category:

I’ve recently been exposed to this British man named Dave Gorman. Dave Gorman is a very awesome man. This guy is a great example of living life, and I feel like he really gets it. Of his works, I first watched America Unchained, a great documentary about his attempt to accomplish a transcontinental road trip of the United States without giving any money to “the man”. Then I saw Dave Gorman’s Googlewhack Adventure, which has a funny name, but I had no idea it would elicit so much emotion from me. It had me laughing, worrying, gasping ,standing and cheering, and is probably one of the greatest stories ever told. Dave Gorman (the one in these movies), you are the man… but not *that* man! I feel like we were already like-minded, but you definitely inspire me. Thank you.
Since you can’t even buy these videos in the U.S., here’s links to torrents for them. I recommend not reading more of the descriptions and instead just watching:
Dave Gorman’s Googlewhack Adventure - When you start watching it, give it about 20 minutes or so, it’ll pick up quite nicely.
Thanks Michael Holden.

I really like when Emily lays on top of me. Recently, I asked my mom to take a picture of this. Just after the picture was taken, as she continued to lay on top of me, Emily told me that I didn’t know about “the twist”. When I looked at the picture I loved it and laughed.
