Somebody’s awesome. They’re all in the same style:
Now I know that there are tidbits here and there that any knowledgeable computer person will say “but..” or “what about…” to, but what a great resource for the less hardcore, or those switching OS’s! The only thing lacking is one of these for Linux, but nobody uses that anyway and many of those who do might be upset by such a clean, organized, simple, easy solution.
And for my Mac friends who don’t seem to have, know of, or have enough need yet for a proper quick image viewer, I can confirm through a more robust search/trial before I discovered the sites above, that the answer is indeed Xee.

It’s official: Circuit City is going out of business, closing all their stores.
* Joz does his best old-man teary-eyed with snot running and says: “Dog-gone, they done went and took it away from me.”
This was one of my favored stores. I thought it was a good experience when in there, and they had some of the best customer service. I guess I didn’t go there enough though
I’ll miss the big red plug, where service is state of the art oohhhhh *sobs*

I wanted to write this after my recent 4-plane trip round trip to Pennsylvania but I forgot. I was reminded by today’s spectacular crash landing of US Airways flight 1549. I wanted to say that the American airline industry, and well generally the global airline industry, is very impressive. Yes there is much to complain about regarding charging for bags now and lack of food offerings and falling service standards. I’m not talking about the company-level stuff. I’m talking about the back-end system. It’s a really great, amazing, and impressive system.
Let’s think about this for real for a moment. Today, like most every other day, there were 87,000 flights above the U.S. (~29,000 being commercial jets)!!! 87,000!!! At any given time, there are about 5,000 planes up there, right now, just above America. And then how many accidents are there? They almost never happen! Amazing! A standing round of applause is in order for the air traffic controllers and everyone else responsible for such a well run/coordinated system. I’m standing and applauding right now, and I invite you to do the same.
Now check out some of these links:
Another video of a day of (I think only commercial) air traffic in the U.S.

37.8gb! It took me 8 days to download - mainly due to crappy torrent speeds. This guy started out fast, but then fell to between 20-80k/sec for most of it. It took me like 45mins to unrar!
