On the ground soon after the towers have come down. Victims of the debris get on their feet and help others do the same. Blocks after blocks of street are hauntingly littered with the remains of the work of the innocent people killed in the Trade Center. Papers, resumes, reports, bills, clothing, human remains fill the streets. 70 Police Officers and 350 Firefighters who ran into the Trade Center to help others stuck inside lost their lives when the towers came down. Friends and family recieve phone calls from many loved ones who are somehow alive deep underneath the rubble of the World Trade Center. They will never be rescued.

People around the country react to what has happened. NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani updates the world on the latest developments. All non-military planes are grounded. All flight operations at US airports are halted leaving thousands of commuters stranded. The US borders are closed. All incoming international flights are re-routed to other countries. For the first time in the history of America it is impossible for anyone to leave or enter the country. F-15 fighter jets can be spotted flying around cities, protecting their citizens. For the first time in the history of America the New York Stock Exchange is closed, for the rest of the week. An unprecidented number of Americans of all ages, races, and ethnicity jam Red Cross Centers across the nation. The lines grow to over five hours long for donating blood in almost all areas.
